Amazing Lunch

The best ingredient for best lunch is not the food but the company you are with.

My best lunch would be At G06 , it is not a hotel nor a restaurant but a college class room.

I was an outsider in a central city far away from my hometown. I had recently started making friends and one of the acquaintances was a local girl.

It was 3 in the afternoon and I had already finished my lunch at 1 pm so it was a snack time for a punjabi boy . So I was planning to bunk my class and was on my way to leave the college premises from back gate .

Then suddenly I heard a voice , “aye hello lunch khata Kya tu”.

I was amazed with the tone and as well as with an alien slang . Not to point out as being punjabi I was already used to “Teri BC mc “ but this was still new for me .

As men will be men , I happily accepted the offer and was invited to sit in an empty class room .

Hmmm empty classroom most of you must have got your imagination running but believe me ,my concentration was on the Dabba brought by her .

She sat on the bench wearing her red salwar Kamiz with white duppatta ( man its been more than 13 years but the image is still very clear ).

And finally when she opened the box , it was Maggi ( noodles ) — prepared by her mother .

I was amused to see Maggie for lunch as punjabi’s will never bring something that light for lunch .

Now the speciality of Maggie is that everybody has their own way of eating a simple Maggi ( either all wattery or with less water ) .

She offered me a cold Maggie , which I ate Though . And I had the best Maggie of my life .

Either it could be because of the butterflies in my stomach or because of the her smile which pierced my heart .i know this is cliche, butt believe me after this amazing lunch I never had a chance to have food with her alone.But I continued the tradition of eating dry Maggie there after ……….Hmmmmmm

Sometime the memories stays with you like an imprint to cherish .
