A lie

I was born alone in the darkness

And knew no one but myself

I was in tears and crying like it was lost

People, my mother smiled and gave me hope

I saw the glimpse of light and I knew I’d be alright

My mother became the light, my light

And everywhere she’d go, I followed

I’d stick with her like glue,

Because I was at ease,

As though I had found my freedom

As though she was my life,

And my reality………

But It was just an illusion

And blissfulness as everyone claimed to be

It was just a reflection of the broken shinning glass,

Giving me a ray of hope

This world, this life, all these people, all these dreams

One day will end, and their memories will haunt throughout the world

The ghosts of the past as the ink becomes dry, the smiles turn into dust

All those beautiful faces withered away and eyes become shut

Their “lasting love forever” disappears and turns into nothing but a fabricated story
